PERFECT SUNDAY NIGHT

Svona á að enda hina fullkomnu helgi - í gærkvöldi fórum við út að borða á veitingarstaðinn Kopar

sem er staðsettur niður við höfnina í miðbænum. Við vorum bæði búin að heyra svo ótrúlega góða

hluti um staðinn í svo langan tíma frá að við urðum að fara þangað sjálf og prófa. Staðurinn sjálfur

er ótrúlega notarlegur og flottur - svo skemmir útsýnið yfir höfnina alls ekki fyrir. Við vorum bæði

mjög spennt, enda mikil matargöt og elskum að prófa nýja staði. Við fengum okkur ævintýraferð

sem samanstóð af 9 réttum - þremur forréttum, þremur aðalréttum og þremur eftirréttum. Í lok

kvöldsins enduðum við södd og vorum bæði sammála um að við vorum búin að finna okkur nýjan

uppáhalds stað í Reykjavík. Það sem við smökkuðum á var til dæmis djúpsteiktar þorskgellur með

hvítlauks sérríkrydduðum rjómaosti og sítrónudippi, andarúllur með döðlusósu og perusalati, 

grillaður skötuselur með beikoni, basilsósu, pestó og djúpsteiktu brokkolíi og svo endaði kvöldið

á þessum eftirrréttaturni sem var æðislegur! Það var allt mjög gott en það sem stóð upp úr hjá

okkur var andarúllan, skötuselurinn, karfinn, lambafilleið, karmellukakan og fjólu mojitoinn.

Staðurinn stóð algjörlega undir væntingum og var stemmningin og þjónustan algjörlega til

fyrirmyndar - það var tekið vel á móti okkur og hugsað vel um okkur allt kvöldið. Við bæði

mælum með Kopar og þá mæli ég sérstaklega með að panta ævintýraferðina til að fá að

smakka sem flesta rétti - þú verður ekki alls ekki fyrir vonbrigðum! Takk fyrir okkur Kopar

og við sjáumst aftur bráðlega x

This is the perfect way to end a good weekend - last night we went to Kopar Restaurant 

which is located in the old harbour here in downtown Reykjavík. We both had heard so

many amazing things about this place so we really wanted to try it out and see what

everyone was talking about. The place itself is so cozy and nice and it has a wonderful

view of the old harbour. We were both super excited since we love to eat and trying out

new restaurants. We ordered the Kopar Adventure which is a nine course menu put 

together by the chefs - you get three appetisers, three main courses and three deserts. 

I absolutely loved it and found it so much fun not knowing what was coming next.

At the end of the night we agreed that we had found a new favourite restaurant in

Reykjavík. A couple of things that we tried from the menu were cod tongues served

sherry & garlic cream cheese and lemon dip, duck spring rolls with date sauce and

a pear salad, grilled monkfish with bacon, basil sauce, pesto and broccoli tempura

and then we got a tower of desserts to end the night! Everything was so good but our

favorites were the duck spring rolls, the monkfish, the red fish, fillet of lamb, the

caramel cake and the violet mojito. 

Kopar was really worth the hype and the service was amazing - they took amazing

care of us all night and made the night even better. We both really recommend Kopar

Restaurant and if you go, order the Kopar Adventure so you can try more dishes - you

will not be disappointed, that is for sure! Thank you so much Kopar and we will see
